White goods makers seek regulation on additional taxes on raw material imports....

TÜRKBESD President Can Dinçer said that the industrialist, who is struggling in the face of the costs of the chip crisis as well as the rising costs from energy to logistics, wants to regulate the additional taxes applied to raw material imports.

TÜRKBESD Board Member Mehmet Yavuz demanded the temporary removal of customs duties on several steel products.

White goods sales increased in September...

According to the Turkish White Goods Manufacturers Association (TURKBESD), domestic sales in 6 main products increased by 12% on-year to 772,000 units in September.

In the January-September period, domestic sales rose 12% year-on-year.

In the same period MDA6 products’ exports increased by 28% and production increased by 26%

Total sales of TURKBESD member companies, including domestic sales and exports, increased by 23% compared to the 9-month period of 2020 and reached to total 25.746.049 units.
